Verbascum densiflorum

Verbascum densiflorum.

  Verbascum densiflorum, also known as V. thapsiforme and V. phlomoides subsp. thapsiforme, is a biennial or short-lived perennial mullein species, native to most of Europe and W. Asia, and naturalised elsewhere. The densely covered flower stalks (up to 1.50m) have none or just a few smaller branches, with yellow flowers. The large felty leaves are distinctly pointed. It is found growing in open rocky soils up to 1900 m.

Closely related to Verbascum densiflorum are V. phlomoides, V. eriophorum and V. thapsus.

  Το Verbascum densiflorum, γνωστό επίσης ως V. thapsiforme και V. phlomoides subsp. thapsiforme, είναι ένα διετές βερμπάσκο, ενδημικό της Ευρώπης και της δυτικής Ασίας, το οποίο έχει εγκατασταθεί κι αλλού. Οι ανθοφόροι βλαστοί του (έως 1,50μ) είναι πυκνά καλυμμένοι από κίτρινα λουλούδια και συχνά διακλαδισμένοι με μικρότερους βλαστούς. Τα  μεγάλα χνουδωτά του φύλλα έχουν χαρακτηριστικά μυτερές άκρες. Το φυτό απαντάται σε ανοικτά πετρώδη εδάφη, σε υψόμετρο μέχρι τα 1900 μ.

Μεγάλη ομοιότητα με το Verbascum densiflorum παρουσιάζουν τα V. phlomoides, V. eriophorum και V. thapsus.
