A large and robust mullein, probably Verbascum thapsus.

  Great Mullein, Verbascum thapsus, is a large biennial species of mullein that is very widespread in Europe but only rare in Greece, restricted to the very northern parts of the country.   Το Verbascum thapsus είναι ένα μεγάλο είδος βερμπάσκου, το οποίο παρότι είναι ευρέως διαδεδομένομ σε ολόκληρη την Ευρώπη, στην Ελλάδα θεωρείται σπάνιο είδος περιορισμένο σε λίγες περιοχές στα βόρεια. Το φυτό σχηματίζει μεγάλους ρόδακες φύλλων τον πρώτο χρόνο, ενώ παράγει ψηλούς βλαστούς (έως πάνω από 2,0 μ ύψος) τον δεύτερο, συνήθως μη-διακλαδισμένους και πυκνά καλυμμένους με κίτρινα λουλούδια. Τα ρωμαλέα δείγματα στις φωτογραφίες έχουν πολύ μεγάλα φύλλα, σχεδόν 0,50μ μήκος, όμως οι βλαστοί τους παράγουν και αρκετούς δευτερεύοντες βλαστούς (...)
