Echinops microcephalus.
Echinops microcephalus is a miniature globe thistle of Greece, Albania, Bulgaria, the former Yugoslavia, Romania and West Turkey. This beautiful perennial species that forms a small shrub, has grey-green leaves, short multi-branched stems and very small blue-violet flower heads. Though Echinops microcephalus flowers in late summer, it can be mistaken for Echinops ritro only due to its color.

Ο Echinops microcephalus είναι ένα μικρό πολυετές κεφαλάγκαθο της Ελλάδας, της Αλβανίας, της Βουλγαρίας, της πρώην Γιουγκοσλαβίας, της Ρουμανίας και της δυτικής Τουρκίας. Αυτό το όμορφο φυτό που σχηματίζει έναν μικρό θάμνο, έχει γκριπράσινα φύλλα, διακλαδισμένους βλαστούς και πολύ μικρά μπλε-βιολετί κεφάλια λουλουδιών. Παρότι ο Echinops microcephalus ανθίζει στα τέλη καλοκαιριού, μπορεί να τον συγχέει κανείς με τον Echinops ritro εξαιτίας του χρώματός του.

DeleteThis plant doesn't grow more than 40cm high (max 50cm). 30 to 40 is the usual hight. Good luck with your plant nursery.
