Veronica cymbalaria

Common Veronica cymbalaria or Pale Speedwell.

   Beautiful Veronica cymbalaria is a white veronica, also called Pale Speedwell. She is a very common Mediterranean species, that usually goes unnoticed. In the city it grows in gardens and in old ruins. A very hairy plant, it can be easily mistaken for Veronica hederifolia (despite the small, light violet-blue flowers and the different fruit).

  Η όμορφη Veronica cymbalaria είναι μία λευκή βερόνικα. Πρόκειται για ένα πολύ συνηθισμένο φυτό της Μεσογείου το οποίο συνήθως μένει απαρατήρητο. Στην πόλη φυτρώνει πολύ συχνά στους κήπους και σε παλιά ερείπια. Είναι ένα πολύ χνουδωτό φυτό, το οποίο εύκολα μπορεί κανείς να συγχέει με την Veronica hederifolia (παρόλο το ελαφρύ μωβ χρώμα των μικρών λουλουδιών και την διαφορετική θήκη των σπόρων).
