Erodium ciconium, widely known as Common Stork's Bill, is an herbaceous annual geranium species. Native to the Mediterranean basin, it is one of the 15 species and subspecies of the Erodium genus that can be found growing in Greece. It is a rather tall geranium, with a lush growth, and erect, sticky, hairy stems. The very short-lived flowers are light purple, and when the plant is in full growth they look scarce compared to the volume of the green parts. Although edible, it remains generally unappreciated.

Το Erodium ciconium είναι μία μονοετής πόα από την οικογένεια των γεράνειων, ενδημική της Μεσογείου, και ένα από τα 15 είδη και υποείδη του γένους Erodium που απαντώνται στην Ελλάδα. Είναι ένα σχετικά ψηλό και εύρωστο γεράνειο, με όρθιους τριχωτούς και κολλώδεις βλαστούς. Τα ελαφρώς μωβ λουλούδια του φθίνουν πολύ γρήγορα, και, όταν το φυτό είναι σε πλήρη ανάπτυξη, δεν ξεχωρίζουν εύκολα μέσα στον αναλογικά μεγάλο όγκο των πράσινων τμημάτων του. Παρόλο που τρώγεται, είναι αρκετά παραγνωρισμένο.
