  Leontodon crispus is a very interesting dandelion-like plant of S. Europe occurring between 500 and 2800 meters high. The beautiful wavy leaves are covered with rigid hairs, and the flower heads are of a golden-yellow color. At least 8 species of the genus Leontodon can be found in Greece.

  Ο Leontodon crispus είναι ένα πολύ ενδιαφέρον φυτό της νότιας Ευρώπης το οποίο απαντάται από τα 500 μέχρι τα 2800 μέτρα υψόμετρο. Τα όμορφα κυματιστά φύλλα του είναι καλυμμένα με σκληρά τριχίδια, ενώ τα κεφάλια των λουλουδιών έχουν ένα χρισοκίτρινο χρώμα. Τουλάχιστον 8 είδη του γένους Leontodon μπορεί κανείς να συναντήσει στην Ελλάδα.

  Hieracium hoppeanum, also known as Pilosella hoppeana, is a beautiful perennial hawkweed species (hieracium means hawk in Greek) that occurs  in the mountains of Europe and S.W. Asia. The small basal leaves bear distinctive long hairs and are grey on the underside, while the relatively large flower heads (capitulum) have a pale-yellow color. In Greece one can find more than 65 species of Hieracium, of which this is one of the smallest. This species is often found growing in small communities, covering the ground with a dense mat of small leaf rosettes.

  Το Hieracium hoppeanum, γνωστό επίσης ως Pilosella hoppeana, είναι ένα μικρό όμορφο πολυετές φυτό το οποίο απαντάται στα βουνά της Ευρώπης και της νοτιοδυτικής Ασίας. Τα μικρά φύλλα της βάσης μεγάλα διακριτά τριχίδια και έχουν γκρι χρώμα από την κάτω πλευρά, ενώ τα σχετικά μεγάλα κεφάλια των λουλουδιών είναι άτονα κίτρινα. Στην Ελλάδα μπορεί κανείς να συναντήσει πάνω από 65 είδη του γένους Hieracium, από τα οποία το συγκεκριμένο είναι ένα από τα μικρότερα. Το είδος αυτό σχηματίζει συχνά μικρές αποικίες, καλύπτοντας την γη με τους μικρούς ρόδακες των φύλλων.
