Thymus boissieri is one of the 25 species of perennial aromatic plants in the genus Thymus (over 350 species in all) that are found in Greece. This Balkanian plant dwells on high mountains where it forms a very small shrubs with narrow leaves, pinkish flowers and very distinctive purple calyces.

Το Thymus boissieri είναι ένα από τα 25 πολυετή είδη θυμαριού που απαντώνται στην Ελλάδα (πάνω από 350 συνολικά στο γένος Thymus). Αυτό το βαλκανικό είδος κατοικεί σε μεγάλα υψόμετρα όπου σχηματίζει πολύ μικρούς θάμνους με λεπτά φύλλα, ρόδινα λουλούδια και χαρακτηριστικούς μωβ κάλυκες.
