Unidentified Verbascum species (I)

Beautiful flowers of an unidentified mullein species.

    The Verbascum species presented here is a plant with large toothed and almost glabrous dark-green leaves, that produces tall multi-branched stems (up to 2,0m high) which begin their branching from the plant's base. The plants were found growing in moist soil, in northern Greece (700m altitude).

  Το είδος του βερμπάσκου που παρουσιάζεται εδώ έχει μεγάλα οδοντωτά και σχεδόν άτριχα σκουροπράσινα φύλλα, και παράγει ψηλούς πολυδιακλαδισμένους βλαστούς (έως 2,0μ ύψος) που διακλαδίζονται ήδη από την βάση του φυτού. Τα συγκεκριμένα δείγματα βρέθηκαν να φυτρώνουν σε περιοχή με ιδιαίτερα υγρό έδαφος στη Β. Ελλάδα, στα 700 μέτρα υψόμετρο.
Κάθε ιδέα ή σχετική πληροφορία είναι ιδιαίτερα ευπρόσδεκτη.
