Hypericum (V) richeri

   Hypericum richeri (formerly Hypericum alpinum), is an annual species with relatively large yellow flowers that occurs at high elevation. Hypericum richeri or Alpine St John's Wort is a beautiful species, often found growing alone in forest clearings, and rocky paths in semi-shaded areas. 
This species makes a nice example of opposite arrangement of leaves on the stem, which is described as opposite-decussate, or «pairs alternately crossing at right angles». This seems to be a common trait in the Hypericum genus.

  Το Hypericum richeri  (παλαιότερα γνωστό ως Hypericum alpinum) είναι ένα όμορφο μονοετές φυτό του βουνού με σχετικά μεγάλα κίτρινα άνθη, το οποίο συχνά απαντάται να φυτρώνει μόνο του σε ξέφωτα και πετρώδη μονοπάτια, στη σκιά άλλων θάμνων.
Το είδος αυτό είναι καλό παράδειγμα αντίθετης διάταξης των φύλλων πάνω στο μίσχο, τα ζευγάρια των οποίων εναλλάσσονται κάθετα. Το χαρακτηριστικό αυτό μοιάζει να είναι κοινό για τα είδη του γένους Hypericum.
