  A very fascinating plant is Polygonum aviculare (Knotweed), one that, more often than not, lays unnoticed. During the hot summer period it tends to crawl on the ground (another of it's names is Lowgrass), keeping few of it's leaves. One can find it blooming even in early winter, with it's tiny flowers resembling the amazing hues of the apple-tree blossoms: white, yellow, pink and magenta. The plant has a powerful dissolving effect on mental blockages - a very important quality in the beginning of a new year.

  Ένα από τα πιο μαγευτικά φυτά, που σπάνια του δίνει κανείς προσοχή, είναι το κοινό Polygonum aviculare. Συνηθίζει να έρπει στο έδαφος τους πολύ ζεστούς μήνες του καλοκαιριού, περιορίζοντας στο ελάχιστο τα φύλλα του. Το συναντούμε όμως ανθισμένο ακόμη και στις αρχές του χειμώνα, με τα μικροσκοπικά λουλούδια του που έχουν τις εκπληκτικές αποχρώσεις από τα άνθη της μηλιάς: λευκό, κίτρινο, ροζ και φούξια. Η ενέργειά του είναι πολύ σημαντκή στο καθάρισμα νοητικών εμποδίων, ιδιαίτερα στο ξεκίνημα μιας νέας χρονιάς.

Sometimes Polygonum aviculare can be found growing in crevices on city pavements... This plant seems to be working hard, although it is not very expressive.
